August 19th, 2009 Zee speed testimonial…How Zee speed has changed my life From when I started zee speed 3 years ago until now I have seen how much my personal abilities have grown as well as how much stronger and faster my little brother has become. When my dad first signed me up for this camp all I thought was that it was going to ruin my summer because of how early I would have to get up each day, and the fact that I had to do more physical activity than I wanted to do each day. After the first day of camp I was so sore I did not ever want to go. Running the stairs at stadium for the first time ever was one of the hardest things I have ever had to do, at the time I felt there was no point in doing it but after running the stairs a few times I really started to see the benefits of what I was doing. Zach Smalls is one of the most inspirational men I have ever met. The amount of work he puts in every day to make this camp work for so many local teenagers is astonishing. Zach has really shown me how easy it is to create a positive attitude in anything you do. In Zee Speed the coaches never put the participants down and the campers are all positive toward each other. You get as much out of the camp as you are willing to put in. One day I was having a hard time finishing the last bit of the running and on my last set of the run 4 people who had already finished it all started running with me to help me finish without quitting. This event showed me how much Zee Speed becomes a family each year and everyone is willing to help a fellow camper to do their best and not give up. All of the coaches at Zee speed take time out of every day to volunteer to help us to become faster and to help us be the best of the best. So many people take this camp for granted and do not use it to its fullest and gain everything they can from it. I am so grateful that Zach let my brother and I join this camp and I hope that I will be able to attend for the years to come. Thank you for everything you have done Zach you are an amazing man with the ability to help others to be better on the field as well as in the class rooms, to strive for their best and nothing less.
